C14500 Tellurium Copper Strip (CuTeP)
C14500 is a tellurium-copper alloy strip that combines excellent free-machining characteristics with superior electrical and thermal conductivity (≈85% IACS). It resists chip erosion and electrical-arc erosion, and offers good hot- and cold-working — an important material for automotive new-energy applications such as EV connectors and charging-pile plug/socket terminals.
Key Features & Advantages
-
Outstanding free-machining — high cutting speeds, long tool life, clean threads.
-
High conductivity ≈85% IACS / 368 W(m·K).
-
Arc- & chip-erosion resistance for switching contacts.
- Can be forged, cast, extruded/drawn, stamped and press-formed.
- Good hot- and cold-working performance.
Typical Applications
- EV / new-energy-vehicle connectors and terminals
- Charging-pile plug & socket contacts
- Machined electrical fittings and precision turned parts
- Welding electrode holders and current-carrying components
